More Than Gourmet's Red Wine Sauce

The foundation of many sauces in French cooking tradition is a dark, delicious red wine sauce. More Than Gourmet has perfected this difficult to make sauce and made it available to cooks everwhere. This delicious, opaque, dark-brown sauce with a few fine specs of pepper straight from the kitchens of More Than Gourmet lends its medium body perfect thickness to a wide variety of meat and poultry dishes.

The aroma and flavor of red wine, savory beef and butter are highlighted with subtle notes of mushroom and onions for that perfect ready-to-use sauce.

How to Use:

Simply heat-and serve or add your favorite ingredients for a more personal touch. Try using sauteed mushrooms, onions or shallots as well as a grainy mustard for an added twist. Seasonings of thyme or rosemary can also help personalize your favorite dish. Use as a foundation for sauces such as Madeira wine sauce, Merlot wine sauce, Cabernet butter sauce, Sauce Poivrade, sauce Robert, Marsala sauce, wild mushroom sauce and many, many more.

Red Wine Sauce's Shelf life:

18 months unopened and 5 days after opening and refrigerated.

Red Wine Sauce Ingredients:
