The De Col Piras family on the island of Sardinia is well-known for their exquisite seasonings. Rosemary is one of the most popular seasonings harvested by them and is used extensively in Mediterranean cooking.
We are honored to include it as one of the top selections in our collection of seasonings. The plant, "Rosmarino" is one of a number of wild native bushes and herbs found in abundance in that region near the sea. It's hand picked and slow dried to retain its maximum flavor. The use of rosemary in cooking and for medicinal purposes has been around since the ancient Egytian times.
Product Details
How to Use: Rosemary has a strong, pungent aroma and the flavor can be quite powerful if not used sparingly. It has a sweet pine scent that works extremely well with grilling and roasted fish, poultry, lamb, game, and vegetables.
You'll find it used quite frequently in southern Mediterranean and French style cooking. Rosemary is also very good with vegetables, stews, soups, sauces, stuffing, marinades salad dressings and in bread dipping oils.
